Dr.Yang Zhimin, from the School of Life Science and Technology of SDSMU, has been selectedfor the 2025 “World’s Top 2% Scientists” released recently by StanfordUniversity and Elsevier. It is for the second consecutive year that Dr. Yanghas been named to this prestigious ranking since 2024. Asis known, “World’s Top 2% Scientists” identifies the top 2% of scientistsworldwide covering 22 major fields and 174 subfields from nearly 7 millioncandidates based on a composite index incorporating metrics such as citations,h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, and citations to papers as single orfirst author. It offered an objective reflection of a scientist’s academicinfluence by providing a measure of long-term research impact. Inrecent years, the university has thoroughly implemented an innovation-drivendevelopmentin line with theprinciples of cultivating scientific and technological talent and continuouslyenhanced both the infrastructure and soft environment for young researchers. Itis the outcome of strengthening research platforms and refining the evaluationsystem for scientific and technological talent that Dr. Yang’s two consecutiveyears in the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” exemplifies in the university. |
