Professor Emeritus Tanaka Seiichi of Tokai University Visits Our University

On October 27, Professor Emeritus Tanaka Seiichi of Japan's Tokai University visited the university for academic exchanges. He was welcomed by vice president Cheng Min, who held talks with the distinguished guest.

Vice President Cheng Min extended a warm welcome to Professor Tanaka Seiichi and his delegation. She provided an overview of the university's development history, academic programs, talent cultivation system, and a basic profile of the school of rehabilitation medicine. She also expressed sincere gratitude for Professor Tanaka’s assistance provided to the university delegation during their earlier visit to Japan. She noted that Professor Tanaka, a distinguished scholar in the field of sports rehabilitation, has long been actively promoting academic exchanges and cooperation between the university and Japanese higher education institutions in rehabilitation medicine. “Our university highly values the friendship between both sides,” Cheng stated. “We look forward to Professor Tanaka’s continued support in advancing in-depth collaboration between our rehabilitation medicine program and Japanese universities, particularly in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, joint student cultivation, and curriculum co-development.”

Professor Tanaka Seiichi expressed sincere gratitude for the university's warm reception and thoughtful arrangements. He stated that as both a witness and promoter of Sino-Japanese friendly exchanges, he will fully leverage his resources in the rehabilitation medicine field at Japanese universities to actively build bridges for cooperation and contribute to the advancement of Shandong Second University's rehabilitation medicine program.

Following the symposium, Professor Tanaka Seiichi delivered a special lecture titled Build the Body's Architecture from the Perspective of Health Science  for faculty and students of the School of Rehabilitation Medicine.

The event was attended by representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (College of International Education), the Graduate School, the School of Rehabilitation Medicine, and the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
